After a time of quiet, it’s been an exciting couple of weeks in Camp Apprentice!
FESTIVAL SELECTION, SCREENING AND WIN
First of all, Director Dave Armstrong has been invited to host a Q&A screening at the prestigious WorldFest in Houston Texas, where the film will also receive a much coveted Remi award. Now in it’s 48th year, the film festival has a mission statement to “honor outstanding creative excellence in film & video”. Previous Worldfest discoveries include The Coen Brothers, Ang Lee, David Lynch and Steven Spielberg, so we’re in fairly good company…
NEW YORK EVENT
On the back of the Houston event, Dave will travel to New York where he and ‘the Apprentice’ himself, Roger W Smith , will attend a very special one-off screening at Tribeca Cinemas. Organised in conjunction with the New York Horological Society, both Dave and Roger will take part in a Q&A immediately after the film.
Roger is of course now very much recognised as one of the world’s greatest watchmakers himself, and has just returned from Shanghai where he represented the best of British creativity, technology and innovation at the GREAT Festival of Creativity. The delegation, which was led by HRH Prince William, also represented the first official Royal visit to China since 1986.
If you would like to be part of this exciting New York event, full details and ticket purchase link is here. Tickets have only just gone on sale but are already selling fast, so book now to avoid disappointment.
GENERAL RELEASE.
We are also thrilled to be able to announce that, after lengthy discussions over the past 18 months or so, we have finally secured distribution for the film. “Bulldog” will represent UK sales, while “Amadeus” take on worldwide sales. This means we can now share that we have a general release date for the film of June 8th. Further details on how and where you can see the documentary will be posted as and when we have them.
Many thanks again for your continued support. It’s been a determined and sometimes difficult journey, but we are almost there. And we hope you will be as pleased as we are with what we have created for George and Roger.
